Arial Allusions is an interactive, multilayered 3D dual projection work engagingvisitors-as-participants through the use of 'Kinect' 3D sensors akin to adendrological ideation.
Beaming the moving audience from high up figure byfigure, will propel, in real time, the illusion of an amended architectural spacewhere human sounds get converted into analogous geometrical images usingas foil the ‘maze’ construct provided by Now You See Collective. Likewise, classic New York City rooftop elements such as the water tower, gazebos, retaining low walls, and the tar floor will become screening fields. / Figuresentering the rooftop, upon coming in contact with sensors, will become activeparticipants, their body shapes surrounded by an unlimited number ofprojected geometrical moving visual patterns caused by their transposedinnate sounds. These sounds will be gleaned, processed, and visuallymapped into constant oscillating images thrown upon various architecturessurrounding the audience. The larger the crowd and the louder the soundpropelled, the shakier the projected vibrating images will become, reaching asuper saturated point of turning into a sea of electrifying, rambling andshattering images. / Projections will be sourced from two asymmetricalperspective points. The one situated high up on the water tower will track andtrap shifting bodies from above, enclosing their figures into a vertiginouscolored micro-environment that upon being approached by another body, thesecond low lying projector will, in synchronicity, envelop both images from itsbinary position in a dramatic overlap.
